Home at AB the projects continue.
While at the Pomerhns home (WNY trip for cottage, and visits) we assisted the Bill and Karyl by assembling this Pellet Stove exhaust pipe (PIC) , and mounting same on the outside of the family room; hauling rugs around for redistribution, etc...

This morning I added to my "to Do LIST" for AB.... Some of the projects are already underway:

1.) I'm adding coats of paint to the leading edge of the Monitor Wind Vane Blade, and the counter weight on the windvane. I'm using Rust-O-leum's "glow in the dark" paint... We'll see if we can see it at night after it absorbs radiation from the sun.... IF it works it'll be great for night passages on the ocean...

2.) I'm painting the stove burner tops with HIGH TEMP. HEADER Paint... (trying to minimize corrosion); and

3.) installing rubber feet on dinghy support blocks (keeping dinghy above the solar panels on the fore-deck, when at sea).

4.) This morning I ordered a new Magna Grille for the aft deck (porch) from Defender;
The Force 10 grille finally succumbing to salt water corrosion...(burner log, and regulator SHOT !!! )

5.) Yesterday, I checked all the fluids.. then started the main engine (Perkins) and let it WARM to normal temps....
(today I'll start the Generator after the same fluid checks.... We've been away from AB for nearly a month.... diesels are made to RUN... not SIT still )

Today, will also be "add new potable water to tanks" as the month old water is OK, but stale !!!

hopefully we'll get to Lowes today, and buy the plywood for the "afore-mast" storage box inside the AB... (this will hopefully hide the sewing machine, file boxes, CD storage books, and a number of other things that now "sit OUT" in plain sight). Plus this "box" will have a fiddled top so we can place the laptop computer up there while at SEA.... Protected from sliding around...etc.
