The first photo is of the delicious meatloaf dinner plate served to us the other night at the Dock & Dine. Now I don't usually take pics of FOOD, but the back story to this is unique.
About 5 days before this meal, the restaurant had the menu boards at the "sea road" describing this meatloaf dinner. "Meatloaf topped with carmalized onions, served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes"... YUMMM, SO thought almost everyone in our cruising community in the eastern harbor. SO... we all gathered that night at the Dock & Dine...
Imagine our shock when the waitress, Michelle, told us "OH.. .that was the LUNCH special; tonight we have Mahi-Mahi". :(
Days passed... then the cook was standing by the sidewalk
As we played bocci ball. I asked if he wanted to toss a few.... NO.. but he'd always wondered how the game was played... SO... I explained, as best I could, as the other cruisers played on.
I told him about our heartbreaking dinner the other night... Mahi-Mahi instead of the meatloaf... :). He understood.. He said.. "YOU tell me when and I'll make it for YOU!!" We mentioned Friday night.. .and we rounded up about 14 cruisers from the harbor... It was GREAT !!!!

the next day.. (more pics) we assisted in moving the HM Albury (schooner) from the eastern Harbor to the fuel dock...
Susan and I were the "TUG boat" using our dinghy to push the bow at the right time, and the stern after.. for docking.

the third pic is from the fund raiser (party) for the HM Albury, last night.
They need $12,000 to get the replacement masts shipped down here, to the islands from CT.

Today is Sunday; most everything on the island is closed... so it becomes another project day... varnishing, repairing rigging, etc. (maybe cleaning the propeller.. IF it warms up a bit).
