This has been a very relaxing day or two.... WELL...up until this afternoon.
We pulled in to Annapolis on Friday afternoon... and Prepared for a visit with our friends the Tabers (Deb and Scott and Lili), who live in Cape St. Claire...
The visit was wonderful, starting out right after Deb and Lili picked Susan and I up at the dinghy Beach, here in the creek.
We had lunch at PF Changs (Chinese Cuisine)... and then went shopping for groceries, and Other stuff...

We had some great conversations with the Tabers.. and of course enjoyed hot house type showers... :)
After breakfast at their house this AM... Deb delivered us to the dinghy beach... It's always a relief to see the dinghy floating there secured to a park bench, and floating out into the water, at the end of a stern anchor... placed there just to keep her off the beach.... and out of the way of the curious passer by... :)

The weather here has been phenomenal (69F / but very Windy, and SUNNY).... nice... but Small Craft warnings on the Bay...TODAY

We had planned to leave WEEM's Creek after breakfast with the Taber's and sail overnight as far down the Bay as we could get.... on the WEST winds... BUT...
We took our time at the house... (we stayed on land last night at the Taber's (Cape St. Claire)).... and by the time we got here it was nearly Noon...
NOT that that exactly means anything if you're planning an overnight or two....
BUT then we talked to our buddies (Benny and Lisa on the s/v Rhiannon) and they were "sitting STILL", at Oxford, because of the Bay conditions...
People were coming into Oxford saying that the Bay was "brutal".

So... we changed our Plan A... to only go about 10 miles down the bay to the WEST River... and tuck in there...
BUT................... Life happens while you're making other plans... I guess...
When I went to check the Perkins engine OIL, and coolant level... The coolant cap retainer fitting came off the expansion tank in my hands.... HUMMMMM
The JB WELD that had held if for a over a year... let go... SO............................... Plan B... or is that now Plan C?

Stay put (here in WEEMs Creek) and fix it... was the Plan... (whatever NUMBER)....
and that's what we did.... got out the Dremel tool, and wire brushes...etc. cleaned the hell out of every piece... and then glued it all back together...
SET in 15 min. / but cures in 15 to 24 hours.... WELL... we'll have to be pressing that cure time just a bit...

So this afternoon turned out a lot different than Planned... a nap, a little guitar, a little charting.... (to find Mill Creek Anchorage down by Reedville), etc.

WE need a full 12 hours on the water tomorrow, to make MILL Creek, by REEDVILLE VA (we'd cross a STATE line just before anchoring)....

SO... that was our day...

OH... I guess the BILL's Whomped the JETS... yeah
