After Rinca we spent a few days in the Komodo Islands. The currents between the islands were fierce so for the most of the time we were madly motoring to try and get through the whirlpools and to go forward instead of being pushed backwards. Not unlike the tidal conditions in the Kimberly's on the Western Australian coastline!! Once we had arrived anchorages were gorgeous with clear turquoise water and some of the best snorkelling and diving Indonesia has on offer.

Our next challenge was to get to Lombok in time to renew our Indonesian visa. That meant traversing the entire island of Sumbawa. This took a total of 5 nights with pretty much full-on sailing everyday. We are now in Lombok (just below Bali) and are resting up in a marina here until Thursday 20th where there is a rally dinner organised and we can catchup with friends we have made along the way. We will pick up our visa extensions on the Friday and then depart for Bali. Onward and upward we go . . .
