Wallace Island Raft-up
19 August 2012

Well, summer finally arrived with a vengeance! We're not used to heat in the Pacific North West. It was still spring until mid July, then the heat lamp was turned on and has been on ever since! We met up with friends on Wallace Island for a little raft-up in Princess Bay. Five anchors were fanned out with 4 stern lines to shore. Good thing too, because we had one of our rare thunder and lightning storms with a bit of a wind off Sedna's starboard side. We had three waves of rain pass over between 5 and 9 that came down with an intensity I haven't seen since I lived in New Zealand. We all got together for happy hour on Bacchus V and Eagle III to watch all the lightning. Never a dull moment!
