Galley Slave, Warmish
Well this brings me right up to date and we are still in Benodet although this morning we were asked to move as they owner of the berth they had put us on is coming back earlier than expected. John gave us a hand in leaving the slightly awkward berth on G pontoon and then both John and Inge took our lines to help us into the slot on E pontoon. We have moved onto the visitor pontoon that you are advised in the books to avoid as the outgoing flow of the river is quite strong but here we are with the help of John and Inge who arrived here on the Tuesday afternoon. It is lovely to see faces you recognise. We have also met a couple called John and Rona who have a slightly smaller Najad (I can't remember the name of it- so apologies to them), who were also in Laber Wrach for a few days with us.

We have done lots of walking around the town and had a trip on a bus to Quimper (pronounced compere!) which is a very old but lovely city. Only €2 per person per trip whatever the distance so good value. We wanted to see if we could find a new battery for the watch the skipper had bought in Grand Canaria but couldn't find what we wanted so thought we would leave it till we got back to the supermarket. No joy at Carrefour but the chandlers at the marina came up trumps and for half the supermarket price!
We are staying here until Monday at least and then moving on but not sure where or when.

We thank you all for reading my waffle, I am also keeping a journal of each day and our escapades to make sure we will remember as much as possible when we get even dottier!
