The day has finally come - we left Gibraltar! With a brisk breeze we headed out into the Straits of Gibraltar with reefed main and full genoa and headed up the coast to Marbella. David, Brenda and Ryan on board. Trickled our way up the Spanish coast to Almerimar where we spent a few weeks replacing equipment, then sailed to Cartegena then across to the Balearics. Hit our first rough weather - 25 knots and very sloppy seas. Ryan seasick the whole way! Very relieved to find shelter in Espalmador, near Ibiza.
