18 December 2012 | Bahia Aqua Verde

Once the weather broke in San Everisto, so did we heading for Bahia Aqua Verde. This is a very popular stop that all the guidebooks raved about for the beautiful blue/green waters. Ironically, when we got there the preferred north anchorage was filled with a dirty red tide. As the forecast was for a light westerly, we opted for the southern anchorage which was lovely and all our own. There are a lot of interesting rock formations in this harbor which make it both beautiful and a little tricky. The next day we witnessed a magnificent sunrise (see pict) as we were leaving the harbor for Puerto Escondido. Perhaps we'll give Aqua Verde another shot on our way back south in a few weeks.
