We sailed out of the trough/front that had been beating us up last evening right during sunset at 20 degrees S. Just where the weater guy told us it would end. Last night and this morning have been good sailing close reaching with mostly 15-20 kts from the SW. At least we're enjoying the sunshine although it already is feeling cooler(at 75 degrees F). The weather should continue to soften and back to the east which will make for pleasant sailing until the wind dies and we need to start the engine in a couple of days. Then we proceed due south to about 30 degrees and wait for a low to pass beneath us. Once we weather it's associated front, we beeline 2-3 days to Opua, NZ to get in before the next low rolls through... at least that's the plan. Anyway, we are spending today drying out and fixing leaks. But otherwise, all is well aboard Bangorang!
