Day 3 of Passage

Another great sailing day on our passage from Minerva Reef to Tongatapu had us arriving well ahead of schedule and in the dark. Consequently we had to heave-to in the lee of Tongatapu for a few hours until the sun came up and we could make our way through the reefs to Nuku'alofa. We are now tied to an old section of city wharf awaiting the last two officials required to clear us into the country. We have to remind ourselves we've switched back to island time here and practice patience... Nevertheless, we are anxious to anchor the boat and start exploring Nukualofa. Overall, we had a pretty good passage from NZ to Tonga. We had some light stuff, we had heavy stuff and we had a few medium sailing days that were just spectacular! Nothing serious broke, we are still speaking to each other andthe stopover at Minerva was pretty cool. Wendy even bagged a geocache out there. Safe to say: All is well aboard Bangorang!
