Landfall
12 May 2016 | Tubuai Island
Colin
We made landfall this morning just a little shy of 17 days since leaving New Zealand. In all a good passage, a few heavy days, a few light days, some motoring and quite a few very decent sailing days. In fact I think we had less than 24 hrs with any wind forward of the beam and then it was under 10 knots. Which are very good conditions for a catamaran like ours. Since our arrival at Tubuai this morning, we have walked, shopped, cleared in with the gendarmare and refueled. We will rest up here a couple days while this strong easterly settles a bit, then make the 340 mile dash north to Tahiti. For now All is Well aboard Bangorang!
