Oahu-WA: Day 0

Satphone testing...1,2,3. Bangorang is all fueled up and ready to shove off first thing tomorrow morning. It is roughly 2600 miles to Neah Bay, WA and we expect to take about 3weeks getting there. Our first objective is to sail as close to due north as possible across the NE trades and in front of the Mexican hurricanes. Once above about 30 N (500 miles) we should be outside their range because of the cooler water. From there we transit the calms of the high pressure zone until we find westerly winds which should bring us right in to the west coast. Hopefully somewhere around WA state... If this works, we will update the blog underway as often as we can, conditions permitting.
