North Pacific Sailing
13 July 2016 | 450 miles North of Hawaii
Hello again eager readers! Well the weather has finally calmed down to a pleasant degree of wind and waves. we are seeing 12-14 knots from the ENE and 1m swell. The boat is moving right along at 6.5 knots and we are making good headway with it being smooth... not too shabby. I don't want to jinx us, but it looks like the weather should remain light like this for the next 4-5 days with the wind backing more to the ESE. We are steadily making our way northward and just today managed to turn somewhat east and start really making ground toward WA. It has also gotten noticeably cooler day by day which makes it much easier to sleep.
The next 2 days should see us passing by our home latitudes in So-cal. So if you happen to be by the ocean over the next few days and you look out..... you still wont be able to see us. But don't let that stop you from having a drink or two and keeping an eye out anyways.
Stay salty -G$
