So Long Since We Talked

It has been really sketchy to stay in communication with friends and family. Internet and phone service has been impossible for us to maintain consistently.
For a while the HAM radio email service worked well for us from the Bahamas until St. Martin. It has now been a couple of weeks since I’ve been able to connect.
We bought a prepaid phone that worked in Puerto Rico and the USVI’s but once we hit the BVI’s it wouldn’t work.
We bought a phone in St. Martin but everything on it was in French…I couldn’t figure out how to use it.
Then we just got a new chip for the phone in St. Kitts. So…now, finally I think we can at least reach and be reached in emergencies. But it is still to expensive to just chat.
Texts are cheap. Hopefully we will be able to keep in touch through them.
Skype works well when we have internet. Reliable internet though has been rare.
What’s a guy to do?
Our hope is once we settle down some place for hurricane season; we will be able to get consistent internet service. That would be a huge help in staying in touch.
We’re trying!
