Only 6 hours from Secret Harbour (Mt Hartman Bay) is Sandy Island (Carriacou). It was time to go play.

Our friends often tell us we have Itchy Feet, and the way I noticed the Capt'N dancing around Banyan's topsides scratching the souls of this toes, I knew that not only was it contagious, but it could only mean one thing. It was time!
"Besides" said Dave, "I want to test the Jib repairs, make sure the Main is on good, give all system checks a go-ahead, make some water... (and then I, {{ cough cough }} tuned out, as he listed off more items on his to do list and when I tuned back in) ..." the tropical wave is passing, and we'll have some beautiful days to explore!"
After morning coffee and a few "Good-Bye's" followed us out as we upped anchor. We were quick to "Nay-Nay, we're not going for good, we'll be back in a week !! See you soon".
As we rounded Point Saline, the usual morning squalls were all around us,
however we only got sprinkled on, and it was nothing to write about, although the people in St George's might have a totally different opinion on the weather at that moment, wouldn't you agree?
The Capt'N was happy with the Jib, the Main, and the watermaker results, and we sailed up the coast, enjoying the lush mountainous scenes that were beckoning to us.
There were quite a few boats out on the horizon, the bluest blues we've ever seen,
and pretty soon we were passing more impressiveness
I find this new camera captures a depth to the photos it takes, don't you?
There were lots of frigate birds flying overhead, and by the looks of the colours of the rocks, they probably spent quite some time sitting there, eyeing us go by.
Twice we were surprised and accompanied by pods of dolphins. They are some hard to capture on photo as you never know when one will flip up and belly flop back in. This was the best I could do.
A scant 6 hours later, we were on a mooring ball by Sandy Island, and our new backyard was scenes of this.
It was supper time for these pelicans flying overhead,
coming to rest in the shade of the palms when they needed a break
Wouldn't you want to take a break here?
The sun started its majestic sundown show, with this,
that erupted into this,
and the pelicans too danced in the yellow lights of sunset,
yellows that led to intense and flavourful hues of oranges,
that led to performances such as this, wow,
see the rain activity up there?
That oranges dissolved and brightened to reds,
that settled into this,
until finally,
the sliver of a moon was all that was left, until it too followed the memories of the sun off below the unseen horizon.
The stars came out to play, twinkling like... diamonds.
What A Difference 6 hours makes, doesn't it?
