Miami Boat Show

Alex (COLD up here in the North)
Haven't sat down to blog a post since our last sail-about before the cold winter set in. I've missed writing, but i've missed being on Illihee II and sailing the waters even more. What can you possibly write about when it's even too cold to be doing any repairwork or anything of the like, while she's completely covered in plastic for the winter. And what long few months winter is !
The upside of all this is, of course, that we're reading about the other adventurers out there who have made it to the sunny recesses of some island or other, and we're positively green with envy, wishing it was our turn, right now !! Is patience really a virtue ??
The even better upside to this is, of course, the Miami Boat Show this coming weekend. And we're going to be there. Setting foot on all them pretty boats that we've been googling and searching and dreaming and wanting. I'm sure that the many questions we have will be answered, we'll have new ones undoubtedly... nothing like stepping foot inside something we will one day own... that will make us instantly know, yup, this is the one, or not.
And a fun little upside to this is, of course, the LATS party Saturday night (free Pizza) ... now that should be fun !!
And well, the fact that Miami is currently boasting temperatures of +24 degrees, will make this adventure all that much more fun (that and a rental car and a side-trip to the Keys...) Considering that it's -24 degrees right here (with the windchill)!
