Saturday overnighters :)

Alex / sunny and windy
Given our Friday night shenanigans that resulted in a dropped BBQ propane valve (LOL @ Dave ???), broken bathroom mirror (umm, 7 years bad luck ???), galley stove and propane tanks not meshing correctly (??), impending doom and gloom in the form of rain, dinghy motor "dying" and big ouchies on forehead of yours truly, we opted to overnight at home and woke up to piss pouring rain on Saturday.
We had enough chores to do so off we went, spending our wedding gift monies at The Binnacle with the biggest purcahse being an EPirb. Lotta boat bucks for that seemingly tiny thing... Got lots of other toys as well, drink cup holders (they want HOW MUCH for that white plastic gadget ???), BBQ valves, etc, etc, etc... and by the time we got home it was starting to clear and we packed up our stuff and headed back to the boat. Our dinghy was more than overfull with all the bags of goodies :) most fun !! We were truly grateful at all the goodies we had been able to buy "free" thanks to our most generous friends !
Respective chores aside, we enjoyed a most lovely dinner (roasted carrots, potatoes, onions, herbes de provence tin foil packet) and grilled chicken legs à la Dave :) Yummm and of course, the best part, a lovely bottle of wine gifted to us by my sister and her husband :) Cheers !!
Woke up Sunday morning to 20+ Knots of wind gusting and very choppy seas. More misadventures resulted in curdled milk and coffee, not a good combination, so yours truly hopped in the dinghy and went off to grab us some good ole fashioned Tim's and maybe we should learn to drink our coffee black, as I don't think that our sailabouts will always have access to quick fix solutions like that if we run out of cofffee cream ha ha.
What followed was a most relaxing and lovely day lounging about, reading, just staring at the view off our "porch", and well, some domestic goddess stuff was done by yours truly (best part of living on a boat, it only takes 15 minutes to clean house) and well, Dave was occupied doing "guy stuff" (for you guys out there, that means trying to figure out the propane problems, getting the solar panel sorted out...).
By late afternoon we had a visit from our mooring neighbour, back from Marblehead, and enjoyed some stories over the most amazing "dark and stormy's"... a quick fix of nachoes and cheese, followed by steak supper and roasted veggies and well, by then it was time to send him home minus the Gosling's Rum and Ginger Beer (did we really drink THAT MUCH ??) and pack ourselves up and come back to life on land and prep for work Monday.
GAWED.. work is getting in the way !!
