Sunday, Day of Rest
24 July 2011 | Halifax sailabout
Alex, sunny !!
Woke up this morning just a little tired.. tired from all that work we did yesterday (gee, I didn't know I could have so many muscles that hurt at the same time), a little sunburnt (ouch !!), a little head-achey (too much vino), and thinking OMG, it's already Sunday and the weekend will soon be over ! Time flies when you're having fun, but this warp speed is ridiculous !!
We lazed the whole morning away, drinking coffee, catching up on the horrific news happening around the world, and then went for a small sailabout. Lunch was homemade hot chicken sandwiches at Timmins Cove... that pressure cooker sure does speed things up, especially if and when you're hungry !! We nixed the walk on McNabs Island as our shoes were still wet from Saturday's cleaning and we didn't have our dinghy with us, and besides, we were just a little tired :)
We chose to come to our "home away from home" early to give us a chance to unpack and get settled back to life on terra firma... all these chores with owning two "homes"...
This week, after all, is going to be a big week.
The last week of work before vacation for me. That's always exciting, and needs a bit of prep work !
The last week of work, EVER, for Dave. Wow.
