After all that hoopla in the a.m. we shared ourselves a roast beef dip (and fries !!) at the Mug and Anchor, sitting on the patio deck watching the boats sail by, and the tourists all on va-cay modeā¦ nice !!! Chatted with Lori and Brian (RumRunner) and then parted ways, promising each other a fall get-together for sushi !!
A brief pitstop for provisions and then back to the boat, for you guessed it, a naming ceremony as we were DONE with all them gremlins hanging around.
We solemnly addressed all the Kings that be, all the powers that be, apologized for our (ahem) lack of proper procedure and protocol, begged for forgiveness for having been so lackadaiscal in what should've been our primary duty, and immediatly sank the old name with great pomp and process, requested that the gods of all concerned be merciful and understanding, and hold us in good fortune with fair winds and following seas henceforth and forevermore.
Champagne was poured over the bow, west to east, (backwards, forwards and even up in the air just in case !!) followed by a swig for each of us.
Being a Reiki Master, I also performed my own energy work to dispel any egative energies that may have been floating around and duly summoned all the spiritual entities to protect Banyan and all aboard in all our future travels. Namaste !!
So now, here we be, de-named, re-named, and re-introduced to the Gods of the Waters and the Winds : Banyan !!
