MOANdays or MONdays?

Alex, EFFIN COLD !
My fantastic friend calls Mondays "MOANday's" and I have somehow acquired this little eccentric habit of hers...after all, what are friends for? Now she's been retired for a while, as has Dave, and so they have both taken to reminding me on separate and numerous occasions that, well, a day is just that, a day... just like any other day, teasing me for sure.
For us working folk Monday's are easily MOANdays, the day after a leisurely couple of days where we have to get up early and go-go-go and really, what fun is that?
Now, there's always the French way of looking at it : MONday has the word "mon" in it, which in French, means mine, and that means that MONday could easily be thought of as a totally MY TYPE OF DAY. Now, how FUN is that? Always interesting how a change in perspective can change things up, but really, some days are just plain ole MOANdays, and some are MONdays.
Personally, I can't wait for the day where our schedules will be solely dictated by the weather and I won't know what day of the week it is. But in the meantime, be it a MOANday or a MONday, it's currently -15 degrees out there (more with the windchill no doubt), so in other words, it's effin cold !!
One of the things I need "to do", and soon, is get a few medical appointments booked with my doctor, relating to our future travel plans to Somewhere South of Somewhere, regarding getting up-to-date with all the necessary (or rather suggested) immunizations and vaccines etc. Dave, a retired navy man, having travelled for most of his career, is probably immune to everything under the sun, including the sun. I, on the other hand, can't even remember ever getting a shot of anything for anything.
Happy Day !!
