Cheers !

Alex, gorgeously sunny !
Cheers !!
Defined by the dictionary as Goodbye ! Cheerio !! A way of saying 'thank you', usually after giving or receiving something. A drinking toast. Lightness of spirits, gaiety or joy...
Well today is a very CHEERY type of day, for ALL the above reasons. Definitions rather.
First of all, it's Friday, and well, fridays are always fun days.
Days that mark the end of a week of work.
Days that mark the beginning of the weekend.
And as for me, it's a CHEERY type of day as it's my last day of work for awhile.
(And I'm feeling rather emotional and scared and well, the butterflies flitting around my tummy are rather unexpected).
So yeah, i'm saying Cheer-io and am thankful for what the last 14 working years have brought me, but am also glad to be "outta here", thinking, the lightness of spirit, joy and gaiety will hit me soon enough (right after the butterflies in tummy leave !)
On the Banyan front : We had quite the adventure yesterday getting stackpack and sails on... thankfully the rain held off, and all the jackstays and lines and things are finally where they are supposed to be !! So a great big Cheers to all that prepwork as this now means that we are ready to get onboard this afternoon with some provisions and start the Sail Home to Halifax !!
Last night we attended a special soiree with Karma IV and MadCap...
We had met Beth and Jim of MadCap very briefly (ten minutes while waiting for the bus) at the Annapolis Boat Show almost 3 years ago now, and have followed their blogging adventures ever since. Alan and Nancy of Karma IV are in the planning stages as well, date of departure to be determined, but seems to be sooner rather than later.
It was a CHEERFUL grand time sharing adventures and stories over great food (OMG I don't even know where to begin to describe the culinary feast that we gobbled up) all in all a grandtastique evening in the company of newfound friends that who knows when and where we will meet again, but already looking forward to it !!
What else can you say, but CHEERS !!
