Slow is the way to go !

Alex, brrr, it's chilly !!
This morning The Universe, in its infinite wisdom, sent us the following comment:
Fast takes longer when you hurry.
Keep calm and saunter on.
And slow gets faster when you're happy.
How totally a propos, I thought.
When outside forces change your life in a direction you may not have anticipated or planned, one immediately feels frustrated and out of control, definitely out of the comfort zone.
We've noticed that the faster and harder one tires to get somewhere, the more "obstacles" sometimes get placed in your path (especially if its not your destined path but then that's another story altogether).
And when you take the time to slow down, smell the coffee, smile and breathe (can you tell I've reconnected with my inner Yoga ?)... And suddenly the day does seem longer, brighter, sunnier and everything seems to happen just the way it was supposed to.
We lazed around a tad this morning, wi-fi wasn't cooperating due to power outages we think, the rain had stopped and the blue skies and sun had even come out a bit, so we gathered ourselves together and ventured out to see what was happening to the world around us.
Turns out that the Club is putting on a cruisers dinner tonight, how nice of them to do that ! So with a smile we signed up.
We cleared in with Customs using the Marina phone, as there's no cell phone coverage to be found here. Then it was out for a good long walk around the basin. We noticed the waters in the canal were starting to recede and we could see the edges of the cement embankment again. And then the winds picked up again and the fine mist drove us to turn around and head back indoors for some lunch.
Fast takes longer when you hurry.
Keep calm and saunter on.
And slow gets faster when you're happy.
