Alex, sunny, hot, breezy, windy, muggy...
A few places have returned our calls.
And many have not !
(why is it that people don't respond to voice messages and/or e-mails?)
As a result semi-quasi-almost-plans have been made.
Thank-friggen-fully-gawed-it's-about-frikken-time!
And we have been "somewhat" energized by the thought of action.
Yay ! Could you tell?
The Boat Yard down in Ft Pierce can take a peek at us next week.
At precisley 13:00 hrs.
Zulu time. Just kidding.
That would be regular Florida time.
So we are anxious to get down there.
Even if it's only two hours (by boat) away,
and have ourselves looked at, examined, evaluated, and TOLD.
Specifically, what can YOU do for US!
And how fast can you make it happen ?
Please and thank you.
Unfortunatley
(wink, wink)
there's something called Christmas that might get in the way.
Bah, Humbug !
And then more plans will be made.
Yay !!
We woke up this morning, and Dinghy looked pretty sad and forlorn.
so we took her out for a spin and some socializing time with fellow dinghies at the dinghy dock, while we exercised down to the Vero Beach, destination, Farmer's Market.
Along the way, we noticed James Bond was in town,
we figured he was somewhere being shaken-not stirred !!
The Market had it's usual array of goodies on display, with many taste-tests happening, one of the best was Chef Michael putting on a tomato-mesculun salad with toasty baguette and cream cheese infused with some sort of herbs. Delicious ! We walked away with many fruits and veggies and some more serious bread (way too hot to be bakin' on board Banyan, you know !)
On a serious note, we have been shocked and saddened by recent events. Friends of mine back home have lost their son, peer to my kids. And many more families in total shock and coping with the school shootings. Un-imaginable. All of it.
I think the hardest thing we ever have to come to terms with it, is loss. We cannot explain it, or justify it, or respond to it. Our inability to comprehend others' actions can often shut us down.
And keeping up with the news, and on a much lighter note, there be no bilingual requirements for dogs 'round here.
