Before The Crossing...
16 January 2013 | Dinner Cay (Key Biscayne), FL
Alex, sunny and hot
All the Homework that can be done is done.
All the research that can be done is done.
We've shopped till we've dropped.
We're bulging at the Seams, i'm sure.
We've fueled up and cleaned up and tidied up.
We've listened to Chris Parker.
We've studied Passage Weather.
Our eyes are cross-eyed !
Our brains are full.
Our Wallets are empty !
There is a (small) window available before it shuts down for another few days (more like a week).
The plan is to drop our mooring ball lines by noon.
Boogey on over back to No Name Harbour and anchor.
Get to bed EARLY !
And sometime in the wee hours of Thursday morning we shall raise anchor and head on out for the Big Crossing.
On paper The Crossing is 42 nm and at 6 knots (that's about 7 hours) we hope to arrive in Bimini and clear into Customs.
Before the afternoon winds shift and the Window closes. yippee-yo-ay !!
