Chalong

Another day of steady drizzle. Since there was no sun I decided to tackle the job of re-wiring the solar panels and putting in a new junction box. The rain was just light enough not to effect the work and just enough to keep me cool. Had great difficulty with the self amalgamating tape which would not seem to bind well so will have to try and bring some out from Scotland at Christmas. Even in a Buddhist country like Thailand all the big shops are playing the Christmas tunes - but "riding through the snow in a one horse open sleigh" is a little out of place here.
Alistair Macarthur called over for a chat at lunchtime but made a quick retreat as we saw the black clouds approach. I managed to get ashore before it was too wet and did my walk in the other direction today and visited a few stores and bought some provisions. I take a back pack with me and fill it each time rather than do a single big shop and struggle with all the stores.
A massage then a beer with David and Margaret before choosing a bar with a working kitchen.
