Patong
01 February 2018
We were going to have another day in Patong so we decided to take the local bus into Phuket town. It cost 60p for the 50 minute journey but for the first few miles it goes at 4 miles an hour along the beach front hoping to get some passengers. We went into the Central Festival a very large shopping complex where we could walk for miles in a nice air conditioned environment. I stopped at a pharmacy to ask advice on an extensive rash with swollen vesicles which I had for about 10 days – I am assuming it was a jelly fish sting but not sure. The antihistamine creams are not having much effect and every few hours it is so itchy -we will see if the steroid cream will help.
Joined Margaret and David for dinner and just made it back to the boat before the evening thunder storm started – we did manage to collect some fresh water for our tanks- we close the deck drains and open the water tank deck fitting and as the water floods along the deck we let the water flow in through a filter. There was no wind tonight and we just rolled all night – it is at least 60 degrees we roll through and very uncomfortable.
