CAST OF THE DOCK LINES!

Ahoy Mattie! It's taken over a year to cast off the dock lines... but, it feels WONDERFUL to be underway again, even if it's just a one day motor/sail North. My friend Gary and I left Gig Harbor around 7am and had a wonderful DOWNWIND sail North to Port Townsend... 9 hours of sun, blue sky and lumpy-rolly seas.
My motor rebuild worked PERFECTLY!!! No smoke, no leaks and NO PROBLEMS! Maybe I should look into switching careers... diesel mechanic.
The only scare the whole trip was pulling into the marina.... the winds were at our rear, blowing around 20 knots! All I could see was us CRASHING into some million dollar boat, but I brought us right next to the dock, and Gary stepped off with NO PROBLEMS! Gotta love it when everything comes together!!!
Tomorrow we might pull JUNESSA out and set her 'on the hard' for the winter season. I plan to get some work done while she's out of the water... install depth transducer for the Garmin, replace motor mounts, align the drive shaft, get the prop worked and do alot of painting!
