The national currency in Croatia is the Kuna (kn or HRK). Prices are often quoted in kuna or euros and both accepted in most establishments but not everywhere.
Euro is the most easily converted currency at banks, post offices, bureaux de change, travel agencies, marina offices and hotels. Many will exchange U.S. dollars. Travellers' cheques are not widely accepted.
You can use credit and debit card to withdraw money at an ATM, and will pay commission or a set fee for each transaction. Check with your issuer for hidden charges before travelling. ATMs are few and far between in unpopulated areas and the most deserted islands.
Bottom Line: Cash is still king in Croatia. It's best to keep enough kunas with you to cover costs for accommodation, meals, fuel for at least a day.
You will need an INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT to rent a car. The cost is $15 and available at BCAA.

This is where our adventure begins. Marina Mandalina offers all the standard marina facilities plus a restaurant, grocery store and nautical shop. Taxis are available on request at reception. Šibenik is the nearest town.
