Snorkeling for real

Isobel sees under water. So far, she has worn the mask and fins onboard a lot and talks a blue streak about swimming with, and diving down to see the fish... talk is cheap... We swam with the sea turtles a couple days ago, she refused to put her mask on...telling us to take pictures of them for her to see.
Yet today, we again dragged her mask with us, offering to put it on for the 1000th time... and she said yes! And she kept it on to swim with us and oogle at the fish and coral, occasionally pulling her snorkel out for long enough to say, "this is cool." She swam with us for about 20 minutes before tearing the mask off and asking to go to the beach. We took a hundred underwater photos with our little GoPro Camera... and found at any depth beyond a few feet, all the reds are lost. Somewhere in my memory I remember that the water absorbs the red wave lengths. So, you will have to take my word for it. THis place is beautiful. Many corals, hard and soft, including the flexible gorgonians. Being part of the Virgin Islands National Park, this is a "no Take Zone"... so we see big grouper who are happy to float not too far from us... of course we don't know fish-ID well enough to list what we see... and there are lots of different species.
