Annapolis in the high Season
26 June 2011 | Annapolis MD
At the playground in Annapolis, Isobel ignored her contemporaries who were sporting binkies and wanted to join the game of catch going on. We are always impressed by how older kids all over happily encourage her to join them.
We are anchored out in anchorage in front of the Naval Academy. We have been here before couple times, but never at high season. We kind of laughed at the guide book which said, "only the very bold anchor in front of the Naval Academy..." Now we know that it is not because of weather or holding... rather because of the boat traffic. There is a constant stream of boats of all sizes going in and out, causing a confused sea as we have seen... today this is not helped by no wind. So the boat wanders around the anchor and rocks, rolls, yawls and bounces.
We did have a nice outing this morning with Lara rowing to and from the dingy dock. The farmer's market was in full swing and the playground is great.
