Fish, Fish Everywhere - kind of...

Fish. You'd think you could eat fish everyday if you wanted to while you were on a small island where the waters beneath your boat are teaming with them. But unless you eat out at restaurants, which we really don't do, fish is hard to come by.
Being a marine park, it's illegal for us to fish here. Local fisherman are exempt, but we've heard that they sell all their catch directly to the restaurants. There is some frozen or salted fish at the grocery, but I'll pass on that, thank you.
I wanted Isobel, our little fishergirl, to hold up one of these wahoo for a photo op but she was reluctant for some reason.
A note about the fish that got away. On our passage to Los Aves we had our line out and looked back to see a very large fish doing spinning leaps out of the water. We were so amazed by the performance that it took us a while to look at our line and realize that our lure and leader had been bitten off - presumably by this fish who was now leaping around trying to rid itself of the leader. It might sound like sour grapes, but we could never have landed that fish on our decks anyway - way too big for our hand reel.
