Note that she has a little sun burn. Well, we realize that during our passage and over the past several weeks we have not been in the sun much. In both Fatu Hiva and Hiva Oa, it is often overcast. We have certainty noticed because our solar panels have not been able to keep up with demand, forcing us to run the engine to generate power… which seems incredibly silly. I guess I will have to break down a get a little Honda 2000 generator. With our Lithium batteries, we could fill them completely running a little generator for a couple hours when we are in cloudy places like we have been.
Now, here in Hanamoenoa we are back in the sun and wind. The batteries are full, the laundry is drying… and we got sun burned…
