The Tooth Fairy
23 August 2014 | Underway to Tuamotos, French Polynesia
Bill
Isobel has had a couple loose teeth for the past while. Last night as I was flossing her teeth, she did a little wiggle and my hand bumped her upper theeth. I looked at her and there on her lower lip was a tooth. She knew what it was and was grinning a big toothless grin already.
Now, the questions are coming hard and fast. Does the Tooth Fairy come when boats are at sea? What do they bring to sailboats? Does a Tooth Fairy in the Tuamotus bring pearls instead of coins (always hopeful!) Should I put the tooth under my pillow in my sea berth or should it be in the V-berth? Will the tooth fairy be confused if I am not in my regular bunk? Should we wait until we are at anchor? Does the Tooth Fairy know King Neptune?
