Help for Vanuatu Island

19 March 2015
Isobel with the kids from SV Salsa in Santa Marta Colombia in March of 2013

Well, this is a new kind of post. One asking for donations. Not to us, to an organization called Sea Mercy.

Our good friends on SV Salsa are planning on sailing soon for Vanuatu with supplies and aid for the out islands that are not being helped by aid for the nation. Eleanor is a Doctor and Staffan is an Innovator (Author and speaker). We meet them in Bonaire and their kids and Isobel became fast friends, exploring much of Santa Marta Colombia and the Caribbean side of Panama together.

I am hoping I can support their efforts from the US while we are here, and that includes some fund raising.

Sorry to be so blunt about it... Sea Mercy arranges rotations of Doctors and other medical staff to come from the US and other countries to work in areas that have been hit by disaster such as Cyclone Pam, a Cat 5 Cyclone that swept through Vanuatu March 14.

So, if you know of any Doctors who would be interested in a working vacation in the South Pacific send them this link.
