Nassau

10 July 2007
Diane
July 9 - 10
Monday and Tuesday, we focused, getting down to required business. Nassau was a very busy stop for us, we did a lot of walking across the bridge from Paradise Island to Nassau to visit the four marine stores. Realizing this would be the last stop for many things, we stocked up on marine supplies, fishing accessories and groceries. The afternoons were spent pool side enjoying the Green Parrot Bar. We helped to teach Rissa, a 9-year-old Bahamian girl, to swim which was a very rewarding feel good experience. Oh must not forget, their cheeseburgers and coconut shrimp are fantastic.

Now, for those of you wondering why we haven't been updating our blogs, I assure you, it is not for a lack of trying. Nassau does not have good wireless internet, when we could finally pick up a connection it would last for only a minute, not nearly long enough to post our updates. After three days of attempting it, being fully ready to throw the laptops overboard; we decided it was in the best interest of the captain, crew and laptops to just write it, save it and sometime along the way, post it. Sorry for the delay but this internet connecting was interfering with the "no stress" lifestyle, could have led to mutiny, LOL!
In case you are wondering about our pictures, they are coming, got the pictures on a disk just having trouble uploading them, look for them soon.
