Another Taste of Mexico
This is a photo from back in 2008, the first time Journey went cruising to Mexico. The boat was full and overflowing with guests come to wish us Bon Voyage before we set off on our travels. It is a memory we still cherish.

Isla San Francisco
If you put a little bit of effort into hiking, you are rewarded with some fabulous views. Jeff spotted an osprey nest in the rocks and was able to get some fabulous shots of the osprey in flight.
While anchored off Isla San Francisco, we took the dinghy and visited the tiny island of Isla Coyote. We've wanted to make this stop for years, but never got the chance. This is one of the few inhabited islands in the sea. A few families make their homes here and earn a living as fishermen. They were very welcoming and gave us a short tour of the place. One of the local women brought out a display of handcrafted bead and shell jewelry and we all bought something. Two of the fishermen were emptying crab nets and they had a basket full of nice-sized spider crabs. There's no water on the island, so they rely on cruising boats to share water and the rest must be brought by panga from La Paz.
It was hard to leave after five days because we'd loved it so much, but we were off to try another off-the-beaten-path anchorage.

Dori shot these photos of a morning surf session at Barra de Navidad. She was standing on the breakwater which adjacent to the surf break, giving great access for pictures.

Yelapa is a unique little hidden away village on the south side of Banderas Bay. No roads reach it and the only way to get there is by water.
