Well . . . we are trying to go NE . . . and the wind forecast is today E, Sat NE, Sun SE moving to NE, Monday E, Tuesday NE, Wed E to S, and Thurs NW to E. We do have a boat that can go to windward (but we try not to) and the bigger worry is that buried in the forecast is a possible big low/developing gale moving up the east coast offshore, on a not very precise track. So "discretion is the better part of valor" and we will wait patiently and read some books and do some boat work and see how the weather develops. I just put the mainsail cover on, and installed a new water filter in the fresh water system which I have had on the to-do list for a while.
