Alexander Graham Bell
06/25/2012, The Harbour

We have a forecast for it to be a bit miserable the next three or four days (tuesday thru Frirday) with rain and 20-30kts of SEly winds. So we tucked into a quite nice little place called simply 'The harbour'. It was apparently where Alexander Grahm Bell conducted his marine experiements. It's protected enough that it could be used essentially as tank testing. It's quite a pleasant spot to hang out and explore around by dinghy (our chart shows no sounding in here, so for future reference, we will do a little survey with the portable depth sounder) and read a few books.

Then Canada Day is over the weekend, so (weather permitting) we will go back to Baddeck to see some fireworks and other events.

Hi Evans,
Is the area to the top right (south-west) of the chartlet linked below the area you are referring to as 'The Harbour'? If you did have a chance to do some soundings do they agree with the depths on the chartlet? We're trying to keep these little charts accurate and up to date.
