Our first day
14 June 2016 | Lake Ontario
Bill
We woke at 3:30 am and left the dock at 4:00. According to the GPS we will arrive in Cobourg at 6:30 just in time for a stroll downtown for supper. The lake is very calm with a 6 inch chop and very little wind. Martha had a nap from 5:00 to 7:30 and I had one shortly after. I then replaced the rear speakers. We are relying on our German Friend, Otto Helm, to steer the boat while we relax and enjoy a long day on the water. We are making a good steady 6 knots and the engine is running great.
We arrived at Cobourg and tied up at 6:45 pm. we lost 15 minutes en route as Otto blew a fuse and the boat did a slow 180 turn without us realizing it. I came up from below and noticed land on the starboard side and thought what the heck. We are heading back to Toronto. I did some quick troubleshooting and found the defective fuse and we were on our way again with only a little time and some pride wasted.
