30 miles from Cobourg took us the the Murray Canal, a 5 mile cut with 2 swing bridges and is straight as an arrow. The Canal leads to Trenton, the gateway to the Trent Severn Waterway. The charge to transit the canal is $4.90 that they collect in a can at the end of a long stick.
Traveling on the lake without a mast requires a calm sea and we were blessed with 2 perfectly calm sunny days for our trip down the lake.
We fuled up at the town dock in Trenton, $67.00 and decided to stay at the new Trent Port Marina. Great facilities and at $1.50 a foot quite affordable.
