6 more

18 June 2016 | Campbellford
Yesterday we travelled 6 more locks. This means in 2 days we have completed 25% of the Trent System locks.

We stayed the night in Campbellford on the town wall. It is a parklike setting with large shade trees and picnic tables right beside the boat. Dinner took us a short walk to Capers, a great spot with good food and entertainment. JP and Diane joined us so the conversation was enjoyable as well.

Each lock station has a different building dating from the days when the lock master lived on site. This one at lock 10 in Hagues Reach caught my eye. I can picture sitting on the porch in days gone bye.
