Another Hash House Harriers Event
11 October 2015 | Mt Horn near Grenville, Grenada
Warm with some rain
We just completed another Hash House Harriers event in the hills of Grenada. As we were travelling on the bus to the start, there was heavy torrential rain ensuring that the walk/run was going to be wet.
There were 7 lengths to do from less than 1 km to 15 km so we selected the 5km walk event. Off we went starting on the road but quickly dove into the bush. As we were at the back of the walkers, about 300 to 500 people had already tracked through so the ground was boggy. There was also 3 river crossings to navigate and as I crossed the biggest, I stepped into a hole that I went into up to my chest. The soaking was great but I had a mobile in my backpack so I got out as quick as I could.
Glenda's knee held up okay so we finished the event in a bit more than an hour and as you finished they gave you Every finishthey gave you a free beer. Not bad for an event that had a $EC2 entrance fee which is about $A1. We bought commemorative tee shirts which only cost $EC25 which you can see in the attached selfie.
