Tita absolutly captured molly's two cats. A great success!
What fun it was to run into Derick and Penny (STELLA MARIS). We then had a great meal with Reg and Kay (their old time friends) at Sams.

We are being tested big time..this time. Just about everything we touch ..breaks.
Plus we are in the middle of a double nor easter. so we are hunkered down in the Chesapeake Harbor Marina. Nice place with great people, but a bit pricey for us. Chesapeake Rigging will stop over Monday and see why our mast step boot, recently installed by LM, is leaking so badly. The photo shows us nestled with a lot of "bars of soap". Some are here for the motor boat show. Hopefully we will be out of here Monday.
While we have been waiting, Tita was able to paint a fabulous watercolor of Molly's cats. Also we saw Amy and Ken (MARY T) for a few meals. We will miss them so much on our way south!

Missed the beginning of it, but thanks to this great blog I was able to get the picture so far. An the picture looks good to me (which may differ for the reality as most of the pictures* involving water look goo to me). Hate to sound criticizing, but these things braking down must be Blessed Spirit’s revenge for neglecting HER this summer over work (:-
Hope SHE has existed her bad moods already and will be good to you from now on.
In Slav languages all wards have gender. Ship is male, but boat, yacht are female gender. I wandered why in English those to words are female gender when so many don’t have any at all. I think I’m starting forming a theory about it. -:)
I’m sincerely hoping both the Blessed Spirit and the Ocean will be nice to you and you will be having a fantastic sailing.
Be well,

We pulled anchor at 8 am at Atlantic Highlands Nj hoping to make Cape May by early light on Sunday.
The wind came up to 25 to 30 and we averaged 7.92 kt down the coast arriving insted of Sunday morning, we arrived Sat nght at 10 pm. That is an average of 192 miles in 24 hours which is the fastest we have ever sailed.
Sunday morning we cought the tide and went up Delaware bay with no waves and just s;ight head wind. We are now at Chesapeake City in the C&D Canal.
We lowered sail when the speedo got to 9.2. But it looked like a wonderful evening which it was.

I followed your trip two years ago and then followed and met up with Daisy on the way north last year.
I'm trying to get in touch with Will for info about a mooring he used on the West end of Long Island. Do you have his email at MMA?
Thanks and have a safe trip....we're headed South in about a week...very chilly here in Maine ....snow predicted for tomorrow!
