Today my computer count-down clock reads 2 years, 6 months, 27 days...and so on. We have been busy refitting Blew Moon over the past year. New windlass, new roller furler, new full enclosure, new solar panels...new this..new that. The days cannot pass quick enough. I know it is a sin to wish your life away, but it is so hard not wish be be free.

The plan today sounds simple. In 4 years, 9 months, and 12 days we will start our adventure together....

On that day, I will be 48 years old and Brenda will be 37. The adventure will start when we untie the dock lines and set our first destination. I hope we will have no real itinerary...just a direction....South. It will be January 1, 2017. I have no doubt we just had an awesome New Years party. All of our friends and family will be there to see us off. By then our kids will be 19 years old and hopefully in college somewhere.

This Blog will be the story of how we got to that day.....and the adventure that follows.
