420 miles to go

15 November 2011
The weather forecast mentioned the C-word yesterday but we are hoping to be far enough south now (read COLD) not to have too much influence from a the trough that is developing over Tonga. We are glad that we didn't stay in Minerva any longer. It would not be fun there with the 13 foot waves they are predicting. Our wind has held in for us, except for a patch of motoring last night. We are slowly being headed, as we expected, so progress will probably slow down over the next 2 or 3 days.
