8-13 Governor’s Bay: We pulled anchor at 8:45am. Here was today’s weather prediction: Winds SW at 9kn. Rain at 10:00am. Thunderstorms at 2:00pm till 7:00pm. Nothing like that ever happened. The winds were light until 11am. Then the winds started to build and were right on our nose, out of the west. The winds were 15-20kn. until after we dropped anchor. It never did rain. It took us 6&1/2 hours to go 25 miles as we were right into strong winds. I was glad to be finished with the day’s travel and broke out wine and cheese and crackers as soon as we were settled. This is a huge bay and there are six boats anchored here. The pic today is the fog as it is lifting in the morning.
