8-17 Duncan Bay Anchorage: I woke with the bright idea to spend another day here. So, we got some bikes and rode into Cherboygan. We spent a couple of hours on the bikes. Where did we ride, well to the marina of course. When we got back to Duncan Bay Boat Club it was time to check out, so we left the dock and motored up to Cherboygan, about one mile. There we filled up with diesel and were pleasantly surprised at the cost. Seems the price of gas has gone down this summer while we were gone. We went back to Duncan Harbor and anchored for the night. There was a tug boat that had sunk in shallow water and we took turns kayaking over to see the wreck. The winds turned and the anchorage became a little rocky. It was an annoying anchorage till about 10pm when the winds died and changed direction again. The pic today is a Cormorant, perched on our dinghy, drying its wings.
