CS - Snow...and more coming!
Well, we have had the most snow in years here on the Chesapeake! We had almost 3 feet at the house this last weekend, and we are expecting another 2 feet the next two days! Enough already~!!!
So..anyway....Gina and I went up this past Sunday with the express idea of, at least, getting some more things off the boat....well, that, obviously didn't work out so well. Instead we found the majority of the parking lot under about 3 feet of the pretty white stuff, and by the time, 12 minutes, we trudged our way to the boat it became self evident that we were not doing much more than shoveling off about 2000 lbs of the snow off the decks, the the cockpit that was full, and wherever else it was...trying to reduce the load on the stands. The cool thing is that most of the boats, at least those with deeper drafts had little to no snow below them....a typical pattern with swirling winds around the keels. There are a couple of pictures posted for your viewing pleasure.
Hopefully, there will be some time between now and 2012 to get the refit done.....!
