And Now For Some Detail...

Now that everyone's fast asleep nightmaring no doubt about the past 96 hours, here's what really happened Kinsale-La Coruña or is that A Coruña....what the L...
Day One saw us make 179 nautical
miles in 24hrs thanks to Paul, the Sail Whisperer...6.5knts in 6knts of wind for the big fat boat that won't sail in less than 7knts! Miracle No 1. (But UNCOMMERCIAL PLUG also massive thanks to another Paul at Crusader Sails!) and we had Kinsale SuperValu quail's eggs yippee! (Note to self with three inch longer arms: who knew they delivered free to the Marina!!!)
So we were happy Braggers on our three hours on/off watch st the end of that except for me. I selflessly went below on departure from Kinsale to prepare a modest sandwich lunch for the crew - and spent the next 24 hours projectile vomiting over our cabin. The bed. The walls. The new fender covers. Yukarama.
Day Two - I guess started somewhere off the Englandshire coast but bit hazy on detail. It was quite rough and cold at the start but developed into a festival of dolphinarana and a whale ceilidh with the odd spot of sunbathing thrown in. I made chicken jalfrezi for dinner and dreamt of Mother India... we also had a blocked bilge which kept the Skipper happy and got him back down the killer aft locker (non re enactment but real life pic attached). And the electrical toilet door catch turned bad. But batteries in full me 13.5v spirits = happy Skipper despite aft locker duties.
Day Three was Biscay or Bust and boy did it try to bust us. The navigator/weather forecaster aka The Skippper had warned that by the team me we got to Phoenix I mean the BoB we MIGHT "see some weather" but just 20knt winds and not lasting that long...12 hrs of 40knts and 20ft waves later, suffice to say the Brag For Sale sign has been up umpteen times but is now well and truly down and we all love and worship her. But methinks greater thanks to God and all in heaven who patiently listened to me last night going through my repertoire of Aeay in a Manger, All Things Bright and Beautifu, My Favourite Things, The Lord's My Shepherd with sails and no sheep, and umpteen renditions of Jesus Buds Us Shine With a Clear Blue Light. So the real thanks to my Mum, Uncke Alexander, The Sound of Music and all those who taught me at Sunday School - that's what gets you through the Towering Waves and Terrifying Winds of the Bay of Biscay. Miracle No 2. And now for more champagne.
PS we have a bumper jar of ear plugs on board 🎼🙏🏻🎼
