Buoy Commits Cardinal Sin
26 July 2017 | Póvoa de Varzim
Ag/och hot again
This is strictly one for the Yachties...there we were lazing on deck in the sun, a bit of light stainless steel polishing as a break from Dickens' misery, when David spotted a strange phenomenon- a mobile cardinal buoy! The critical west cardinal buoy in the middle of Póvoa de Varzim harbour was apparently on the run! And when he altered the marina, the manager said:"oh not again!" So....just as we're prepaying to leave pretty Póvoa, looks like we'll be dicing with death to avoid the now invisible hidden danger! See this sailing lark...
Anyway, as I pack for my grandweans fix, we have just enjoyed s very sociable soirée with our new Irish BFs (Patrick's a pal of the msn who owns the Dubarry factory in Galway, hence the rapid ascent into BF territory!) and then we commandeered the marina BBQ to cook our Aussie friend from a Coruña's gift of a giant lump of tuna he caught and for non tuna eating Brian a genuine Portuguese Aberdeen Angus entrecôte steak! Caused quite a stir and attracted lots of admiration - and another new French friend...aaahhh, this is life without those cardinal sins...
